Emirates Airlines Bans Use and Charging of Mobile Batteries Onboard From October
Joby Aviation and ANA Holdings have begun full-scale discussions on establishing a joint venture for the air taxi business.
Using the electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft (eVTOL) developed by Joby Aviation, they plan to provide air taxi services in Japan. They intend to introduce more than 100 units and expand services to various regions, including the Tokyo metropolitan area.
From October 1 to 13, a demonstration flight by an ANA specially painted aircraft will be open to the public at the Osaka Kansai Expo. The flight will take off from the EXPO Vertiport and will include a full transition state over the sea, obtaining lift with its wings for horizontal flight. It is scheduled to fly about twice a day for approximately 10 minutes each time.
