
Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen, Nozomi Unreserved Seating Suspended from Today until August 17
JR West Japan announced that on August 10, train operations, including the Sanyo Shinkansen, will be suspended or possibly suspended due to a forecast of heavy rain.
The Sanyo Shinkansen may experience delays or suspensions from the afternoon onwards. The Nanao Line, between Tsubata and Wakura-Onsen Station, will potentially face disruptions from early afternoon throughout the day. The Oito Line, from Minami-Otari to Itoigawa Station, might face similar issues from the evening onward.
Additionally, all Yakumo limited express trains, the Super Oki limited express between Yonago and Shin-Yamaguchi Station, and the Super Matsukaze limited express between Yonago and Masuda Station will be canceled.
Furthermore, the Etsumi North Line will cease operations from 12:30 PM, and the Fukuen Line between Fuchu and Miyoshi Station will stop from 9:30 AM. The Etsumi North Line might also face delays or suspensions throughout the entire day on the following 11th.
Train operations on the Hakubi Line, between Niimi and Yonago Station, will be suspended after the 11:02 AM departure from Niimi to Yonago and the 1:21 PM departure from Yonago to Niimi. The Kishin Line, between Tsuyama and Niimi Station, will stop service after the 9:53 AM departure from Tsuyama to Niimi and the 9:46 AM departure from Niimi to Tsuyama. The Inbi Line, between Chizu and Tsuyama Station, will also halt after the 1:02 PM departure from Chizu to Tsuyama and the 11:33 AM departure from Tsuyama to Chizu. Train operations on the Geibi Line between Niimi and Bingo-Ochiai Station will end after the 5:16 AM departure from Niimi to Bingo-Ochiai and the 6:41 AM departure from Bingo-Ochiai to Niimi.
The operations of ‘Sunrise Seto’, ‘Sunrise Izumo’, and the ‘Sunrise Izumo 91’ scheduled for the following 11th, will also be canceled.
