Oedo Onsen Monogatari Hotels & Resorts has rebranded its Oedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Koshinoyu as “TAOYA Nachikatsuura” and reopened on June 29.
The rooms include a variety of options such as rooms with open-air baths, Japanese-style rooms, Western-style rooms, and Japanese-Western style rooms. With the rebranding, some rooms have been renovated into Japanese-style bedrooms. Almost all rooms feature ocean views, offering sights of Katsuura Bay from the rooms.
The facility includes a Japanese-modern lounge with ocean views from the windows, and a deck lounge designed to enjoy the ocean view as if extending out to the sea. The large public bath has been redesigned with a dark and chic tone, with partitions installed in the washing area. A relaxation lounge has also been newly established. Two private baths have been transformed into one open-air bath (with alternating use for men and women) facing the sea, where guests can feel the sea breeze and hear the sound of the waves. Additionally, free massage chairs have been installed, and a night snack service is provided.
The buffet restaurant has been renewed with wider spacing between tables. The dinner buffet features local seafood dishes such as sashimi and sushi of fresh tuna caught at Katsuura Fishing Port in Nachikatsuura Town, rare parts of tuna grilled on a stove, tuna amuse-bouches, along with local beef dishes like hamburger steak with Kumano beef in Rossini style and Kumano beef pizza. All alcoholic drinks during dinner are all-you-can-drink.
The accommodation rates start from 17,300 yen per person (including tax) when two people share a room.
Access is approximately a 10-minute drive from Nachikatsuura Shingu Road Nachikatsuura Interchange (IC), and about a 1 hour 10 minute drive from Kisei Expressway Susami South Interchange (IC).
