JR Tokai and Tokyu are expanding the operation area of the cruise train “THE ROYAL EXPRESS” to include Aichi Prefecture and Gifu Prefecture.
The operation conducted by both companies last fall and this spring commenced from Yokohama, toured along the Tokaido Line areas in Shizuoka Prefecture such as Mishima, Shizuoka, and Hamamatsu, and returned to Yokohama. Due to favorable reception from both passengers and local residents, a more extensive tour visiting Kanagawa, Shizuoka, Aichi, and Gifu Prefectures along the Tokaido has been arranged.
The 3-night 4-day itinerary is set for a total of 6 departures on November 7, 14, 28, and December 5, 12, 19. Accommodation locations include Shizuoka, Nagara River, and Lake Hamana. The tour price starts at 820,000 yen per person, with a capacity of 26 participants per tour.
