AirAsia X announced that it will open the Kuala Lumpur–Istanbul/Sabiha Gökçen route on November 14.
It will operate 4 weekly round trips on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The travel time is 11 and a half hours from Kuala Lumpur and 10 hours and 20 minutes from Istanbul. Airbus A330-300 aircraft will be used.
This marks the much-anticipated return of the European route, providing connections from Istanbul to 117 overseas cities and over 40 domestic destinations in Turkey. From Istanbul, seamless connections to various parts of Asia via Kuala Lumpur will also be offered.
