The Ritz-Carlton Osaka is offering an afternoon buffet titled “Summer Seaside Adventure with Paddington” in collaboration with Paddington, available until September 10.
The buffet includes sweets inspired by 15 seaside locations from around the world such as Britain, where Paddington is based, Sicily, the Riviera, Greece, the Gold Coast, Hawaii, Lima, and more, along with five savory dishes served at the table.
Desserts include a sandwich with Paddington’s favorite orange marmalade on sponge cake, “Yogurt and Milk Chocolate Travel Cake,” “Tropezienne Cake with Darjeeling Tea Flavor and Raspberry Jam,” and “Macadamia Cream Cookie Crumble and Blue Curacao Sea” representing Hawaii’s sea and beaches.
Savories feature “Bruschetta with Stracciatella and Anchovy” inspired by Sicily’s scenery and deep-blue sea, a “Greek Salad” with feta cheese and summer vegetables arranged with sherry vinegar, and “Polynesian-style Ceviche” inspired by the traditional dish of Bora Bora. There is also a “Shaved Ice Station” where guests can customize shaved ice with syrups and toppings.
The location is “Splendido,” the Italian restaurant on the 1st floor. Service hours are from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM, with a 120-minute limit. Prices start at 6,800 yen per adult, 3,400 yen per child, and free for preschoolers.
