KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and the pilot union VNV have reached a tentative labor agreement.
In the summer schedule of 2026, an additional working day will be added each month, and one additional working day on weekends will be possible each quarter. This will enable the operation of over 10,000 additional flights and increase seat supply by millions.
On the other hand, appropriate compensation will be provided in return, and a provisional system allowing for discounted travel once a year will be made permanent. Additionally, the newly introduced Airbus A350 will be equipped with extended beds specially designed for taller Dutch people.
