Volcanic Eruption on Kamchatka Peninsula Causes Major Delays for Japan-Europe and Japan-America Flights
AIRDO will revise its ticket booking rules effective for flights on and after May 19, 2026.
Currently, passengers can rearrange the order of their tickets, but this will not be allowed from the mentioned date. Additionally, the age categories for children will change from infants being 0-2 years and children 3-11 years, to infants being 0-1 years and children 2-11 years.
The validity of tickets is currently classified based on whether changes are allowed, with changeable tickets valid for one year from the day after issuance and non-changeable valid only for the flight. After the mentioned date, validity will be classified based on whether part of the ticket is used; if partially used, they are valid for one year from the day after transportation starts, and if unused, they are valid for one year from the day after issuance or exchange.
Currently, ticket validity cannot be extended, but from the mentioned date, if a reserved flight within the validity period is fully booked, the extension will be allowed up to seven days until a flight with available seats is found.
