
Two Robberies Targeting Japanese Nationals in Manila; Embassy of Japan Urges Avoiding Nighttime Walking
According to the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines, two Japanese nationals were killed in Manila at around 10:40 PM local time on August 15.
On Malvar Street in Manila, the two Japanese victims were shot dead by a man who approached them as they were getting out of a taxi. The suspect stole the victims’ belongings and fled on a motorcycle. The motive and background of the incident are unknown.
The Embassy of Japan in the Philippines urges Japanese residents and travelers to continue to exercise caution and ensure their personal safety.
