Joby Aviation and ANA to Fly ANA-Liveried eVTOL Demo at Osaka–Kansai Expo
Air Canada and Air Canada Rouge announced a delay in their flight resumptions due to cabin crew members, who are members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), not returning to work.
The Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB), under the direction of federal Minister of Employment, Patty Hajdu, had referred the labor negotiations to final and binding interest arbitration, requiring the cabin crew to return to their duties by 3:00 PM on August 17 (local time) under an order from the CIRB and instructions based on labor law.
Air Canada claims that CUPE illegally instructed cabin crew members to defy the CIRB’s return-to-work order. The flight resumption is expected to be on the evening of August 18 (same).
