Air Canada has reached a settlement with the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) through mediation and will resume operations from the night of August 19 (local time).
Air Canada and Air Canada Rouge will gradually resume operations, although it may take up to 10 days for full operation to be restored.
Following custom, Air Canada stated it will refrain from commenting on the content of the agreement until the ratification process is complete. It has been stated that no strikes or lockouts will occur during the ratification or binding arbitration processes.
