JR East to exhibit Cassiopeia Car 1 at Omiya Station West Exit ‘Sakuragi PPJ’ site (Saitama, Japan)
JR Central (JR Tokai), JR West, and JR Kyushu will launch the “LINE kara EX” service on the Tokaido, Sanyo, and Kyushu Shinkansen lines in Japan on October 4.
By adding the official LINE account “Tokaido–Sanyo–Kyushu Shinkansen Reservations” as a friend, linking your LINE account, and agreeing to the terms, you can book Shinkansen tickets without registering credit card information. Payment is supported via PayPay.
No membership registration is required. After payment, you can board ticketlessly using the QR code displayed or a registered transit IC card. The service is available only in the LINE app on smartphones and tablets and cannot be used from the PC/desktop version.
Reservation changes are not permitted; refunds are allowed. The refund fee is 320 yen; for same-day refunds, a 160-yen PayPay gift certificate will be issued. Seat selection is limited to window or aisle only. Service hours are from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
For the Tokyo–Shin-Osaka segment (regular season), the price is 14,620 yen, which is 100 yen higher than “Smart EX” and 390 yen higher than “Express Reservation,” and 100 yen cheaper than the regular fare.
