Kyoritsu Maintenance opened Natural Hot Spring Higo-no-Yu Onyado Nono Kumamoto in Kumamoto, Japan, on August 20.
The building has 11 above-ground floors. The 191 guest rooms come in four types: Double, Twin, Quadruple, and Universal (accessible).
Facilities include two large communal baths fed by natural hot springs, an open-air bath, a high-temperature dry sauna, a cold-water bath, a post-bath relaxation lounge, a manga (comics) corner, a laundry corner, a restaurant, and a smoking area. Dining features an approximately 50-item Japanese and Western buffet, including local specialties such as minced cutlets made with Kumamoto Akaushi beef and a Kobachi Yokocho assortment of seasonal small plates.
The Opening Commemoration Plan accommodation package has been on sale since August 20. Rates for a double room with breakfast start from JPY 11,200 per person for single occupancy and from JPY 8,100 per person for double occupancy, tax included.
Access: 6 minutes on foot from Karashimacho Station on the Kumamoto City Tram; about 30 minutes by car from the Kyushu Expressway Kumamoto Interchange (IC).
