
“Courtyard by Marriott Kyoto Shijo Karasuma” Opens August 27 – Formerly The Royal Park Hotel Kyoto Shijo
Tokyo Marriott Hotel (Tokyo, Japan) will offer Afternoon Tea -Autumn Grape Elegance-.
The starring ingredients are grapes shipped directly from Komoda Orchard in Tomi, Nagano Prefecture, cultivated using a natural circulation cultivation method that maximizes nature’s power without relying on chemical fertilizers or herbicides. The menu features sweets and savories highlighting Shine Muscat, often called the sweet green jewel, along with the lustrous, low-astringency Nagano Purple and Queen Rouge, a new Nagano-born variety boasting rich sweetness and a vivid red color.
Sweets include eight items such as: Layered parfait with Nagano-grown Shine Muscat; Shortcake with Komoda Orchard seasonal grapes; Mousse of Nagano-grown Kyoho and fromage blanc; Tart with Nagano-grown Shine Muscat and seasonal grapes; Raisin scone served with Kyoho grape and pomegranate confiture; and more. Savories include four items: Truffle-scented potato potage; Prosciutto and pearl mozzarella caprese with marinated mushrooms; Herbed breadcrumb gratin of shrimp and scallops; and a smoked salmon and cream cheese stick sandwich. Drinks come with free refills, with a selection of eight varieties from TWG Tea and five coffee variations.
