The Kahala Hotel & Resort Yokohama in Japan will offer the “Kyoho & Shine Muscat Afternoon Tea” from September 1 to October 31.
Sweets include a Shine Muscat shortcake, Muscat and lavender honey gelée, a tart topped with both Kyoho and Shine Muscat grapes, and Hawaiian doughnuts (malasada), for a total of six items.
Savories include Otsuka-style kouign-amann accented with four spices—clove, nutmeg, and more—and a touch of salt; ricotta bavarois with marinated grapes; and a salad of angel prawn, avocado, and Inca no Mezame potatoes.
Location: THE KAHALA Lounge on the 14th floor. Served in four seatings: 12:00 noon, 12:30 p.m., 4:00 p.m., and 4:30 p.m. Price: 10,120 yen; with an original bear for two people: 23,540 yen. Tax and service charge included. Limited quantities; advance reservation required.
