Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Club has partnered with Tokyu Hotels in Japan for the Diners Club member hotel benefit service “Club Hotels The Status Match.”
Under Tokyu Hotels’ “Comfort Members” loyalty program, Diners Club cardmembers can obtain “Platinum” status, and Premium cardmembers can obtain “Diamond” status. This applies only for the first year; thereafter, status is determined based on the number of points earned annually.
In addition to raising the point accrual rate from the usual 5% to 7%, benefits include late checkout, a Best Rate Guarantee, priority advance reservations, bonus points, a welcome drink voucher, and a room upgrade voucher.
