K-Express opened Grandy Style Kyu-Karuizawa Hotel & Resort on August 27.
This newly built condominium hotel, the first of its kind in Karuizawa Town, has one basement level and three floors above ground. It offers 65 rooms across six types: Superior Twin, Deluxe Twin, Luxury Twin, Junior Corner Suite, Premier Corner Suite, and Grandy Luxury Suite. All rooms are 50 square meters or larger and feature an inner balcony. Depending on the room, guests can enjoy views of Old Karuizawa Ginza Street, Shaw Street, the Yagasaki River, and Mount Asama.
Facilities include a large public hot spring bath using water brought in from Okuwa Onsen in Kita-Karuizawa, complete with saunas, as well as a lounge, the restaurant Trattoria Creatta Karuizawa, a souvenir shop, and parking. The large bath features a dry sauna and steam sauna, a cold plunge, and an outdoor air-bathing area. Dining includes a half-buffet breakfast, and prix fixe lunch and dinner centered on stone-oven dishes.
