Air France began operating Embraer E190 aircraft with a new cabin configuration on September 1.
The cabin has a 2-2 layout with a total of 110 seats. Business Class is located at the front, separated by a movable curtain. From October, the adjacent seat will be kept unoccupied.
The seats are newly designed leather seats optimized for lightness and comfort, adopting for the first time worldwide the TiSeat 2X short- and medium-haul seat by France’s Expliseat. By using ultra-light carbon and titanium with minimal plastic, weight has been reduced by 30% compared to previous models. Leather and ergonomic design enhance comfort. The width is 46 inches and there is an adjustable headrest. At the top, there is a tablet holder and two cup holders, along with USB-A and USB-C power outlets. The large table is sized to accommodate laptops. They are manufactured in Angers, France. In addition, free high-speed Wi-Fi has been introduced.
All aircraft are scheduled to be retrofitted by summer 2026, with the aim of enhancing service on short- and medium-haul routes.
