China Eastern to Suspend Matsuyama–Shanghai/Pudong Route from Oct 26
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines launched the Amsterdam–Hyderabad route on September 2.
It operates three round trips per week: departures from Amsterdam on Tue, Fri, and Sun, and from Hyderabad on Mon, Wed, and Sat. The route is served by a Boeing 777-200ER configured with 288 seats: 35 in World Business Class, 24 in Premium Comfort Class, and 229 in Economy Class.
To mark the departure of the inaugural flight from Hyderabad, traditional Indian dance was performed at the airport. KLM’s Chief Operating Officer Maarten Stienen and local officials celebrated the launch.
Hyderabad is known as a hub for pharmaceuticals and technology, with a population of 7 million. This is KLM’s fourth route to India, following Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore.
India is an important trading partner for the EU, and passenger numbers between Amsterdam and India have nearly doubled in recent years. From Hyderabad, travelers can access destinations across the country via partner airline IndiGo’s network.
