THE THOUSAND KYOTO in Kyoto, Japan, will offer the “Shine Muscat Parfait Afternoon Tea” from August 25 to September 28.
It begins with a welcome drink, the “Muscat Mojito,” followed by the signature welcome dessert, the “Shine Muscat Parfait.” Served in a glass where Muscat jelly harmonizes with raspberry sauce and vanilla ice cream, the parfait is finished with Shine Muscat grapes. The tiered-stand sweets feature six items, including “Muscat Macaron” and “Grape Tart.” Savory items include four selections such as a hamburger with Muscat-inspired buns and “Shine Muscat Caprese Bruschetta.” Scones and more will also be served. Drinks include over 20 options—such as smoked Japanese black tea and traditional Japanese teas—available as a 120-minute free-flow.
Venue: Cafe & Bar “TEA AND BAR”. Seatings: three 2-hour sessions starting at 11:30 a.m., 3:00 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. Prices: 6,900 yen; 8,900 yen with a glass of champagne; 6,700 yen for the shared table. Tax and service charge included. Reservations required by noon the day before.
