Air New Zealand will open a new flagship Koru Lounge at Auckland International Airport in New Zealand.
It will be divided into areas for Airpoints Elite members and Business Premier passengers, and for Airpoints Gold, Silver, and Koru members, as well as Star Alliance Gold members.
The total floor area will nearly double to about 3,700 square meters, and seating capacity will increase by 70%. It will feature business areas such as private rooms and single-person booths, a family play area, and a space to enjoy coffee. The barista bar will be relocated near the entrance to make it easier to use for those short on time. The interior is said to celebrate Aotearoa’s beautiful landscapes and textures through color, materials, furniture, and carefully curated lighting and art.
Construction will begin in early 2026 and proceed in two phases. Until work on the new lounge for Airpoints Elite members and Business Premier passengers is complete, the current lounge will remain open with reduced capacity. Completion is expected in the second half of 2027.
