Air Canada to launch Montreal–Palma de Mallorca on June 17, 2026, with A321XLR

Air Canada will launch the Montreal–Palma de Mallorca route on June 17, 2026.

Coinciding with the introduction of the Airbus A321XLR, the airline will open the route using this type for the first time. The single-aisle aircraft is configured with 182 seats: 14 fully flat business class seats—the first for a single-aisle aircraft—and 168 economy class seats.

In 2026, Air Canada will also operate the Montreal–Toulouse route year-round and the Montreal–Edinburgh route seasonally, both with the Airbus A321XLR. Additionally, it will launch routes from Toronto, Ottawa, and Halifax.

Air Canada plans to introduce 30 Airbus A321XLR aircraft, with up to 10 to be delivered in 2026. The first aircraft will be leased from Air Lease Corporation.
