
JW Marriott Hotel Tokyo to Open on October 2
The Royal Park Hotel Iconic Osaka Midosuji in Osaka, Japan, will serve Afternoon Tea L’Automne from September 1 through November 14.
The sweets selection includes a parfait layering chestnut and Earl Grey mousse with cassis gelée and grape sorbet; a macaron filled with sweet potato, white chocolate ganache, and caramelized Japanese sweet potato; a purple sweet potato gâteau; and a Japanese pear soup. Savories include a savory financier made with mushrooms seasoned with salt; a squid and apple salad topped with caviar; a flan layered with raspberry-flavored vinegar gelée; and a pumpkin quiche. Both feature autumn ingredients such as chestnuts and grapes, as well as premium items like porcini mushrooms and caviar. Beverages include a sparkling cocktail and nine kinds of free-flow drinks featuring ART OF TEA black teas, rooibos teas, and herbal teas.
Location: THE BAR, the 15th-floor bar and lounge. Serving hours are two-hour sessions between 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.; from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., it is also available as high tea. Price: 6,800 yen, tax and service charge included. Reservations required by 5:00 p.m. the day before.
