Amanek will open Hotel Amanek Hida Takayama in Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture, Japan, on October 1.
The building has nine stories above ground. The 153 guest rooms come in four types: 58 Superior Queen rooms, 82 Superior Twin rooms, 9 Deluxe Twin rooms, and 4 Accessible Rooms. Interiors are designed with colors inspired by the nature of Hida-Takayama, and the bath, washbasin, and toilet are separated (three-part separation). All rooms are 20 square meters or larger. The Deluxe Twin features Japanese-style decor.
Facilities include an entrance lobby incorporating Hida-themed objets and traditional crafts; a top-floor open-air bath using local hot spring water with views over Hida-Takayama; a panoramic sauna; and large public baths separated by gender. The open-air bath and panoramic sauna can be used by all genders together when wearing swimsuits or bathing cover-ups.
