Japan’s Seibu Prince Hotels Worldwide to Fully Acquire Ace Group International
Park Hyatt Tokyo will reopen on December 9.
The hotel has completed major renovations that began in May 2024. Located on the upper floors of Shinjuku Park Tower in Tokyo, designed by world-renowned architect Kenzo Tange, its interiors were created by interior designer John Morford.
The renovation was overseen by the Paris-based design studio Jouin Manku, carrying forward Morford’s philosophy and the brand’s worldview. Not only newly added or modified areas but even existing design spaces were deliberately dismantled once and faithfully recreated with new materials to preserve the property’s appeal.
A new Park Suite measuring 85 square meters has been added, and the total number of guestrooms will be reduced from 177 to 171. The Specialty Suites range from 115 to 290 square meters and feature marble and hinoki cypress bathtubs, steam saunas, kitchens, and entertainment rooms. The 220-square-meter Tokyo Suite retains its previous design.
In dining, through a partnership with Ducasse Paris led by Michelin-starred chef and entrepreneur Alain Ducasse, the new Girandole by Alain Ducasse will open. The Peak Lounge & Bar will update its furniture and appointments, while New York Grill & Bar on the top 52nd floor will maintain its original design and offer new menus by Chef Ben Wheeler. Kozue will keep its current configuration.
Reservations for accommodations and restaurants will begin at noon on September 24.
