JR Central, JR East, and JR West to Run Hida, Shinano, and Nanki All-Reserved, Dec 26–Jan 4, 2026
Osaka Metro will implement early-morning pedestrian traffic restrictions at Yumeshima Station in Osaka, Japan, starting September 22.
Passengers disembarking from the first train arriving at Yumeshima Station have been running on the platform, concourse, stairs, and escalators, creating hazardous conditions. To prevent crowd-crush accidents, the railway will impose restrictions. Some staircases will be closed, the number of exit gates in service will be limited to six, and the areas open to passage from the platform through the ticket gates to ground level will be reduced. The restrictions will be in effect from around 5:30 a.m. to around 6:00 a.m.
The company is urging passengers not to run inside the station, noting that doing so not only risks falls and injuries but could also lead to serious accidents involving others.
