Japan’s Rakuten Group has launched an AI agent, “Rakuten Travel AI Hotel Explorer,” on its travel booking service “Rakuten Travel” that proposes the best accommodations for users.
Drawing on Rakuten Travel’s extensive reviews, accommodation plans, and booking trends, it helps travelers choose stays tailored to their needs. On the smartphone website, you can use it by entering, in a conversational format, conditions such as destination/area and dates, number of guests, group composition, budget, property type, amenities, and services via the text input field located below the date search.
Its features include processing capabilities that understand natural language to accurately capture requests; comprehensive information coverage that incorporates web search results in addition to analysis data on Rakuten Travel; and easy-to-read displays that let you compare up to 30 properties in a list or show them on a map. It also supports comparisons tailored to your preferences and re-searching based on prioritized criteria.
