Japan Airlines (JAL) has canceled the second installment of the day-trip charter tour that boards the special-livery “JAL GUNDAM JET” (Boeing 737-800, registration JA342J).
It had been scheduled for October 1, but the number of applicants did not reach the minimum of 120 participants.
The tour, operating to/from Osaka/Kansai, would have included a scenic flight during which a special video related to Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japans “GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION” would be shown on board. After landing, a 30-minute photo session on the ramp was planned, allowing participants to photograph the aircraft up close. The package also included admission tickets to Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan and to the “GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION,” plus a JAL original boarding certificate. Applications were accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through September 10.
