Thai VietJet Air to Launch Tokyo/Narita–Bangkok Route on January 16, 2026
EVA Air launched the Taipei/Taoyuan–Dallas/Fort Worth route on October 3.
It operates three round trips per week on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, increasing to five weekly from November 18 and to one daily round trip from December 15. The route uses Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The flight time is 13 hours 30 minutes from Taipei/Taoyuan and 16 hours 15 minutes from Dallas/Fort Worth.
The airline has operated dedicated freighter flights since 1998. With many companies entering the area in recent years and steady passenger demand driven by economic and population growth, as well as the growth of the Asian American community and relocations of major corporate headquarters, it decided to launch passenger service. In Texas, its served cities now total two including Houston, making it the only Asian airline to operate to both cities.
It will also deploy its newly introduced Premium Economy Class on U.S. routes for the first time, offering amenity kits in collaboration with HUNTER. In Business Class, amenity kits, pajamas, and slippers created in collaboration with Maison Kitsuné will be provided.
With this addition, its North American network expands to nine cities: Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, Vancouver, and Dallas/Fort Worth.
