Oedo Onsen Monogatari Hotels & Resorts will open “TAOYA Hakone” on November 1 in Hakone, Japan.
All guestrooms feature forest views, offering vistas of Hakone’s woodlands from the windows. The property includes a drink counter serving coffee, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages such as beer and wine; a lounge with large windows overlooking the forest and a fireplace; a large public bath with panoramic views of nature; open-air baths; a sauna; and a cold plunge.
At the restaurant, accented with traditional yosegi marquetry from Hakone, freshly prepared dishes are served from the live kitchen. The dinner buffet offers meat and fish dishes, Häagen-Dazs ice cream, and beverages including beer, wine, and sake. The property operates on an all-inclusive plan that largely covers on-site services such as alcoholic drinks at dinner, beverages in the lounge, and late-night snacks.
Access: About 30 minutes by car from Hakone-Yumoto Station on the Hakone Tozan Railway, and about 25 minutes by car from the Tomei Expressway Gotemba Interchange (IC).
