
Cathay Pacific to Increase Hong Kong–Dallas/Fort Worth Flights to Daily from October 26
Iyotetsu Group made Ishizaki Kisen a subsidiary as of October 1 in Japan.
By subscribing to a third-party allotment of new shares implemented by Ishizaki Kisen, it raised its equity stake from 42.49% before the capital increase to 66.76%.
Going forward, it will operate land and sea transportation in an integrated manner to improve travel convenience. In tourism, it will leverage the resources and multi-island scenery of Japan’s Seto Inland Sea and work to attract overseas visitors to Japan, including those traveling via the Hiroshima area.
Founded in August 1862, Ishizaki Kisen currently connects Matsuyama Kanko Port (Ehime Prefecture)–Kure–Hiroshima in western Japan with Super Jet high-speed boats and a cruise ferry. It also plans to begin operating its new high-speed vessel “Linear Jet” by year-end.
