M.K.K. has acquired the land and building at the former Inoue Department Store site in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, Japan. The company plans to attract an international hotel brand.
The acquired property is a building with one basement level and seven floors above ground that operated as the Inoue Department Store until March of this year. The company intends to fully renovate the building and attract a foreign-affiliated hotel. It is located about a 4-minute walk from Matsumoto Station and about a 1-minute walk from the Matsumoto Bus Terminal.
M.K.K., headquartered in Matsumoto City, operates businesses including hotels, real estate, and golf courses. The company has a track record of revitalizing the former Bel Mall 25, which was an annex of the Inoue Department Store.
