
Air System to End Japan GSA Contracts with Four Airlines on October 20
H.I.S. GIRAS INTERNACIONALES MEXICO, the Mexico subsidiary of H.I.S. (a major Japanese travel agency), has been appointed by the Mexico City Tourism Board to provide representation services.
The company will roll out tourism promotion activities targeting the Japanese market to raise awareness and attract more visitors. Initiatives include seasonal and event-based campaigns; Japanese-language social media and advertising; travel information websites; and in-store promotions to highlight Mexico City’s appeal. It will also work on product planning and development support, and through local training and familiarization/inspection trips, provide staff product-knowledge education and collaborate with local experience programs. The period begins on October 1.
According to Mexico’s Ministry of Tourism, 96,000 Japanese travelers visited Mexico in 2024.
