Sapporo Prince Hotel in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan, will fully renovate its Buffet Restaurant Hapuna and reopen it as an all-day dining venue (name to be determined) on December 14.
Within a 9-meter-high space featuring colors and design motifs evocative of Hokkaido’s great northern land, the venue will add traffic-conscious buffet lines, shelf-style buffet boards, and a live kitchen, increasing seating from 166 to 186. Breakfast will offer small seafood rice bowls and jumbo croissants; lunch will feature Hokkaido cotriade and roast chicken; and dinner will include thick-cut roast Hokkaido beef and scallops grilled in their shells.
Two new semi-private rooms for up to 10 guests each will be added, and course menus will be available for lunch and dinner. In addition to buffet service, part of the venue will be zoned as a “Lounge Area,” launching café operations with à la carte items such as freshly baked pizza and pasta, and alcoholic beverages served in the evening.
