
JAL to End Hawaiian Airlines Codeshare and Mileage Partnership on April 21, 2026; Shift to Alaska Airlines
On October 14, Delta Air Lines hosted a reception in Japan to commemorate its 100th anniversary, attended by senior executives visiting the country, along with client companies and leisure-related organizations.
Jeff Moomaw, Vice President – Asia Pacific, and Bob Somers, Senior Vice President – Global Sales, outlined the airline’s 100-year journey and future business strategy.
They discussed a focus on the Asia market, where passenger growth is strong; enhancements to the onboard experience such as inflight Wi-Fi and new amenities; the convenience of not needing to recheck baggage when connecting within the United States; and improvements to the customer experience through new facilities, including upgraded lounges and biometric technology.
