Spring Japan will begin in-flight sales in December of upcycled items made from its former cabin crew uniforms.
The company introduced new uniforms in August and will sell products made from the old uniforms that are no longer worn. Four items will be offered: a mini pouch, a drawstring pouch, a scrunchie, and a tote bag. A volunteer project team was formed within the company, handling everything from planning and design to cutting the old uniforms and sewing the products, with employees making the items themselves.
Sales will begin progressively on board Spring Japan flights from December, and details will be announced on the website as soon as they are finalized.
