Open House Group will open KÚON Hakone Gora in Gora, Hakone, Japan, on November 8.
The company has established Open House Hotels & Resorts to manage and operate lodging and resort facilities, entering the hotel business with its first directly operated property. The new hotel brand KÚON (Kuon), built around the concept of “a place to pause in the present,” aims to provide modern-day rest through the stay experience.
The hotel will offer 14 guest rooms, each equipped with a minibar. Facilities include a dining restaurant, a tea lounge (bar) exclusively for staying guests, and on-site parking. After check-in, guests can enjoy a pairing experience of traditional Japanese sweets and teas from various regions, and dinner features a chef-curated course with tea pairings. Services such as the tea lounge, bar, and in-room minibar are all-inclusive.
Going forward, the company says it will continue to promote sustainable hotel development by renovating hotels acquired through its income-producing real estate business.
