Sichuan Airlines will launch the Chengdu/Tianfu–Auckland route on December 7.
The service will operate twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays. It will be operated with Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The scheduled flight time is 12 hours 10 minutes from Chengdu/Tianfu and 12 hours 35 minutes from Auckland.
Connections with the Tokyo/Narita–Chengdu/Tianfu route are also available; connection time at Chengdu/Tianfu is approximately 3 to 4 hours in both directions. The total journey time is 22 hours from Tokyo/Narita and 21 hours 10 minutes from Auckland.
