
Air Cambodia launches Tokyo/Narita–Fuzhou–Phnom Penh route
Etihad Airways will launch the Abu Dhabi–Damascus route on June 12, 2026.
Flights will operate four roundtrips per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The route will be served by an Airbus A320 aircraft configured with 158 seats: 8 in Business Class and 150 in Economy Class. The flight time is 3 hours 15 minutes from Abu Dhabi and 3 hours from Damascus.
Damascus, the capital of Syria, has been added in response to growing demand from travelers from Middle Eastern countries, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Trade between the UAE and Syria increased 23% year-on-year, and more than 350,000 Syrians live in the UAE.
