
South Korea’s FTC Begins Route Divestitures for Korean Air–Asiana Merger
As part of its cost-reduction program Back on Track, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will reduce the number of board members from five to four.
The board will consist of four members: Marjan Rintel, President and CEO; Bas Brouns, Chief Financial Officer (CFO); Maarten Stienen, Chief Operating Officer (COO); and Miriam Kartman, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
With the reduction, Chief Experience Officer (CXO) Barry ter Voert will leave the company. Barry ter Voert holds a master’s degree in business administration from Tilburg University, majoring in economics. After training at Arthur Andersen in London, he joined KLM in 1996 as a management trainee. He later worked in Amsterdam, Budapest, and Paris, and went on to serve as Senior Vice President of Revenue Management and Senior Vice President for Europe, among other roles.
