APA Hotel opened APA Hotel (Morioka Station Front) in Morioka, Iwate Prefecture, Japan, on October 16.
The building has 13 above-ground floors. All 261 guestrooms are non-smoking and come in six types: 132 Singles; 36 Doubles; 33 pairs (66 rooms) of Connecting Rooms that can accommodate up to four guests; 21 Cozy Rooms with sofas; 3 DENBA Space rooms; and 3 Deluxe Twins.
Guestrooms feature large 50-inch or larger LCD TVs, universal power outlets, and charging ports supporting USB Type-A and Type-C. A vertical grab bar has been installed in the unit bath to assist stepping into the bathtub, and a fire guidance system linked to smoke detectors displays real-time fire information on the in-room TV screens.
On-site amenities include coin-operated laundry machines, vending machines, a microwave, an ice maker, a smoking booth, and parking for 30 cars.
At the restaurant “Sakaba Hakozaki Morioka Ekimae,” guests can enjoy a 40-item Japanese and Western breakfast buffet featuring Iwate specialties and ingredients from Iwate. Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Prices: 1,700 yen in advance and 1,900 yen on the day.
