
Hato Bus and JAL to Run Special Haneda Airport Best View Drive on Nov 3 & 24
Mitsubishi Estate, Kajima Corporation, and Hilton announced they will open Canopy by Hilton Okinawa Miyakojima Resort on April 1, 2026, in Miyakojima, Okinawa, Japan.
The building will have 12 floors above ground and 306 guest rooms across seven types. Guest Rooms and Deluxe Rooms each measure 35 square meters, are equipped with 55-inch TVs, USB ports, and rain showers, and are also suited for workations. There are three types of suites, totaling 20 suites. On the 10th floor, the largest 102-square-meter “King Canopy Suite” offers sweeping ocean views.
On the first floor, the all-day dining restaurant “The Marthans Beach House,” the grill restaurant “CHIIKII,” and, outdoors, a picnic space called “The Round Activity Lawn” will be provided. In addition, zones for interaction include the “Shima Sprouts Play Zone,” which offers playground equipment and games that adults can enjoy as well. The second floor will feature a 24-hour fitness center, and the top floor will have an infinity pool and the “Sunbear Day Club” bar.
Canopy by Hilton, a lifestyle brand, will mark its second location in Japan after the Osaka Umekita district and its first resort in the Asia-Pacific region. Under its “Neighborhood” concept, the brand offers warm, locally rooted design and friendly service, along with the appeal of local food, experiences, and culture.
Access: about 15 minutes by car from Miyako Airport and about 25 minutes from Shimojishima Airport. The hotel is located in Miyakojima’s To River district, adjacent to the Hilton Okinawa Miyakojima Resort, and is close to the island’s downtown area and the Irabu Bridge.
