
Japan’s StarFlyer to Resume International Flights as Early as FY2026
AIRDO will operate a New Years Day 2026 First Sunrise scenic flight from New Chitose Airport (Hokkaido, Japan).
Since 2022, the airline has operated First Sunrise flights from Tokyo/Haneda, and in 2026 it will be the first by a Japanese airline to schedule a Sapporo/Chitose roundtrip. Details for the Tokyo/Haneda flight will be announced once finalized.
The flight will depart Sapporo/Chitose at 5:50 a.m., take in the first sunrise over Cape Erimo, and return to Sapporo/Chitose at 7:25 a.m. Passengers will receive an original boarding certificate, a desktop calendar, and a New Year commemorative wagashi (Japanese confection). The aircraft will be a Boeing 737-700.
