Agoda International Japan and Japan’s Hoshino Resorts have entered into a comprehensive partnership.
Hotels across all six Hoshino Resorts brands — Hoshinoya, KAI, RISONARE, OMO, BEB, and LUCY — will be sold on the Agoda travel booking platform. For reservations made from within Japan, some properties may be excluded.
In June, Hoshino Resorts CEO Yoshiharu Hoshino revealed that rooms at Hoshino Resorts properties had been listed and sold on Agoda despite no contract being in place. The company also issued a warning on its website, explicitly naming Agoda, noting cases where rooms had not actually been secured, where sales terms differed from the actual content, and where prices were unjustifiably high, leading to customer disputes.
Commenting on the agreement, CEO Yoshiharu Hoshino said, “We expect this partnership with Agoda to be a new step toward delivering greater convenience and high-quality stays for travelers. We look forward to Agoda’s broad customer base experiencing the unique allure of travel with Hoshino Resorts.”
