Solaseed Air will operate its First Sunrise & First Shrine Visit Flight 2026 on January 1, 2026.
The flight departs Haneda Airport in Tokyo early in the morning, takes in the first sunrise from around 17,000 feet near Mount Fuji, and then heads to Miyazaki Airport. On board, traditional New Year osechi dishes made with ingredients from Kyushu and Okinawa will be served, along with Kyushu wines selected by flight attendants who hold sommelier qualifications. Passengers will receive gifts including a First Sunrise acrylic stand, Seedsmiles Mayu Cream ~Wa~, a Solaseed Air ‘Pitatto Hikouki’, a Miyazaki lemon cake, a Solaseed Air logo Obi cedar coaster, a boarding certificate, a Solaseed Air logo tote bag, and an original route map.
There are four course options in total. In addition to a one-night, two-day plan that departs from and arrives at Miyazaki Airport with a pre-stay at the Haneda Excel Hotel Tokyu, three day-trip courses are offered from Haneda Airport. After arriving at Miyazaki Airport, participants split up by course to visit shrines and other New Year’s landmarks: the Aoshima Course visits Aoshima Shrine and the Miyakoh Botanical Garden Aoshima; the Takachiho Course tours Amanoiwato Shrine, Amano Yasukawara, Takachiho Gorge, and other sites; and the Sightseeing Train Umisachi Yamasachi & Cape Toi Course enjoys ocean- and mountain-view scenery aboard JR Kyushu’s Umisachi Yamasachi sightseeing train before heading to Yowara Shrine and Cape Toi.
Fares start from 77,000 yen for the Miyazaki Airport course (three-seat plan), from 75,000 yen for the Tokyo/Haneda Miyazaki & Aoshima Course, from 82,000 yen for the Mythic Hometown Takachiho Course, and from 80,000 yen for the Sightseeing Train Umisachi Yamasachi & Cape Toi Course. All prices include tax.
