Japan Airlines (JAL) will retire its fourth Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
The aircraft to be retired is JA732J; its final flight will be JL52 from Sydney to Tokyo/Haneda tomorrow, November 20.
The cabin is configured with a total of 244 seats: First Class “JAL SUITE” in a 1-2-1 layout with 8 seats; Business Class “JAL SKY SUITE” in a 2-3-2 layout with 49 seats; Premium Economy “JAL SKY PREMIUM” in a 2-3-2 layout with 40 seats; and Economy Class “JAL SKY WIDER” in a 3-3-3 layout with 147 seats.
JAL previously operated 13 Boeing 777-300ERs for long-haul international routes, and has already retired three of them. They will be phased out as the new international flagship, the Airbus A350-1000, enters service.
