The Westin Osaka will serve its Christmas Afternoon Tea from November 1 to December 25.
The concept imagines a hasty Santa and his dependable reindeer delivering sweet presents. Sweets include a Christmas tree made with pistachio cream; a chocolate mousse Santa caught in a chimney; a strawberry-and-cheese cream daifuku representing Santa’s gift sack; cassata “presents” and a snow globe; and cream puffs where a snowman peeks out—assorted Christmas gifts spilling from Santa’s bag. Savories inspired by a Christmas party feast include chestnut and mushroom quiche, house-smoked salmon tartine, and beef bourguignon. A puff pastry–topped clam chowder is also available.
Location: Lobby Lounge on the first floor. Serving hours: noon to 6:00 p.m. Price: 6,900 yen on weekdays and 7,500 yen on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Tax and service charge included. Reservations required.
