Emirates and Rolls-Royce have agreed to carry out maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) for Airbus A380 engines.
As part of expanding its Engineering and Maintenance Centre (EEMC), Emirates will construct a new facility and begin MRO for Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engines fitted to its Airbus A380 aircraft from 2027. Emirates will perform fan case repairs, while Rolls-Royce will maintain module repair capability within its global network. In addition, the TotalCare service contract for the Airbus A380 has been extended into the 2040s.
Emirates operates 116 Airbus A380s and plans to fly them into the 2040s.
