Thai Airways to Adopt Piece Concept for Checked Baggage from 2026

Ishizaki Kisen will launch Japan’s first high-speed ferry equipped with a linear jet, SeaMAX, on December 19.
The route will connect Matsuyama Sightseeing Port (Ehime Prefecture) with Kure and Hiroshima (Hiroshima Prefecture), Japan, as the successor to the Super Jet. The linear jet reduces fuel consumption by about 30% and suppresses noise and vibration.
SeaMAX measures 31.60 meters in length with a beam of 7.20 meters and a gross tonnage of approximately 108 tons. It seats 93 passengers, with a service speed of about 27 knots. The vessel is being built by Setouchi Craft.
Prior to entry into service, an unveiling ceremony will be held on December 17 from 1:00 p.m. at the Matsuyama Sightseeing Port Terminal. A trial cruise and interior viewing will operate from 1:10 p.m. for about 20 minutes.
