ANA to Retire C-3PO ANA JET in January 2026, Final Scheduled Flights Announced
Emirates has begun operating the Airbus A350-900ULR aircraft on its Dubai–Adelaide route from December 1.
The aircraft has been switched from the Boeing 777-200LR, marking the first deployment of the Airbus A350-900ULR on this route.
The Airbus A350-900ULR is configured with a total of 298 seats: 32 business class seats in a 1-2-1 layout, 28 premium economy class seats in a 2-3-2 layout, and 228 economy class seats in a 3-3-3 layout. It is capable of flights of approximately 15 hours, with a range of over 14,000 kilometers.
Emirates operates flights to five Australian cities: Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide. To the four cities other than Adelaide, it deploys four-class Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft. With this change, Emirates will operate aircraft with the new configuration featuring premium economy class to all five of its destinations in Australia.
Premium economy class is highly popular on routes to and from Australia, and is said to consistently maintain a high seat load factor.
